Hydrogen Council of Manitoba /

Conseil manitobain de l'hydrogène

* LEARN * SHARE * INFORM *

How we got started.

In 2022 I incorporated Reaching For Zero Ltd., with the goal of creating a green hydrogen production company in Manitoba that would pyrolyze methane into pure carbon and hydrogen. To aid my effort I searched the internet for potential contacts operating in the hydrogen economy. The search turned up several companies like Charbone Corporation of Quebec and Selkirk, H2MB of Winnipeg, and of course, New Flyer Industries of Winnipeg, there are also government-sponsored reports from the Canadian government, the Canadian Senate, and the Province of Manitoba. There is also a very incomplete database of hydrogen producers and users.

After more than a year of frustration, I realized that part of the problem in creating the company was my lack of hydrogen-specific information and contacts. The idea of a hydrogen council came to me, so I registered the English and french versions of the Council names with the Companies Office of Manitoba and registered the domain names for this web site.

The Council's purpose.

Our mission is to gather together Manitoba individuals who and companies that are interested in hydrogen, wish to promote the hydrogen economy, will share hydrogen-related knowledge and contacts, and inform individuals and government about hydrogen.
